Fabulous site. Very unique! Little clearings in the woods, so feels very private. Go slowly up the road on the way in.....it's very bumpy!
Staff team here are brilliant! So kind and helpful.
Pitches are mostly flat(ish), the soil is sandy, so bring a mat to leave your shoes on.
We loved it and will definitely come again!
Amazing campsite and facilities. We stayed on plot 41 which was so secluded and it feels like you’re sleeping in the forest. The staff where really friendly and accommodating they helped us to stay an extra night. There’s also a walk that takes you through the trees, fields and across meadows with a great little pub at the end of it. Perfect for a Sunday roast. Toilet, shower and cleaning facilities are all in excellent condition and frequently cleaned. Also there’s a washing machine and tumble dryer on site.
Quiet site. Clean facilities. Many pitches are enclosed in rhododendron thicket so feel private. No formal play area but lots of woodland to make kids' own playground. No grass, sandy forest floor under foot.
Spent a couple of nights here .
A very unique campsite where every pitch is different, there isn't any Hardstanding pitches and yes some pitchs are on sand.
What you do get is peace and quiet in the woods with a good shower block and toilets. Petworth house is 5 miles up the road which makes a good day out.
My only criticism is that the entrance road is extremely bumpy and at only 3mph it shook the Motorhome to death. ..
Overall a good campsite for those seeking a proper woodland experience.
For the price, we enjoyed our recent stay here. The facilities are basic, but clean. Toilets will be very cold in winter as are roofed but large openings in cubicles. We had a bit of a walk to get water and our spot had no sun. Plots are in a forest. The access road is one of the worst we’ve ever encountered with large holes. On the plus side, being in a forest was enchanting, we had some lovely cycle rides and the local village store stocked some tasty items (inc one of the best tiffin bars I’ve ever had!)
Fantastic location and smashing wardens. Amongst trees and pitches massive so you feel like you are wild camping. Loads of walks but a bit too warm to do much! Village shop is amazing and 2 pubs within walking distance, one The Three Moles on very quiet road and food was lovely, can't take under 14's though but can take dogs.
Absolutely wonderful site. All of the staff are most helpful and you receive a really warm welcome. The facilities are kept very clean and in good order. The woodland setting is beautiful. I will definitely be visiting this well managed site again!
Wardens are super helpful and friendly. The children loved chatting with them and lots of suggestions of places to visit. Campsite was clean and beautiful setting in the woods.
